DMV Pickleballerz is an event management organization built around one sport. Leagues, tournaments, corporate days, community afternoons — all of it run by a team that plays in its own events.
Our story
It started because a group chat got out of hand
We began as players, not organizers. A rotating weekend game, a spreadsheet nobody wanted to maintain, and the recurring problem that the four best courts in the area were always booked by someone who had planned further ahead than we had.
So we planned further ahead. We built relationships with facilities, learned what a well-run bracket looks like, and discovered that the difference between a great pickleball day and a mediocre one is almost never the players — it's whether somebody did the boring work in advance.
That's the whole business. We do the boring work: the court contracts, the skill banding, the schedule that holds, the referee for the medal match, the standings posted before anyone has to ask. What you get is the part that's actually fun.
Start on time, finish on time
People rearranged their Saturday for this. The single most respectful thing we can do is run to the schedule we published.
Close matches beat prestigious ones
We would rather put you in a division where you go 3–2 than one where you go 5–0 or 0–5. That's what skill banding is for.
Beginners are not a burden
Every format we design has a place for someone playing their first game. The sport grows or it doesn't, and that's decided in somebody's first two hours.
Publish everything
Results, standings, winners, photos. Not because it's marketing, but because it's the record of what people did.

Where our events happen
We don't own courts. We partner with established facilities in the region, which is why we can put your event near your people instead of near our building — and we're adding partners across all three jurisdictions.
